Run for Culture is a joint cultural run (not a competition) through Stockholm where artists, cultural workers and everyone who wants to draw attention to the value of culture meet and take steps together.
On September 1st, we will make our way from Gärdet to the Swedish Parliament. Along the way, we will pass central cultural institutions and places where decisions are made – and fill the streets with music, dance, circus and other expressions.
This is a living movement where culture becomes visible in the midst of everyday life. We do it to remind you of something fundamental: that culture is a natural part of people's lives. It creates community, strengthens well-being and contributes to a vibrant society.
By bringing together many different expressions along the path, we create a clear presence in the city – where the importance of culture becomes visible, both to the public and to those who make decisions.
We will end the event at Myntorget, Old Town, at 3:15 PM with a celebration and stage performance!
