Thank you for Spring För Kulturen 2026!
We ran and walked from Gärdet to Gustav Adolfs Torg for our first cultural run. At the finish line, a magical set of music was played, led by the fantastic Daniela Kullman.
But why did we Run for Culture?
The answer is actually simple: culture is needed.
Culture is not entertainment for a few. It is an obvious part of our lives. It creates community, gives us health and well-being, and makes society alive. But in order for us to have a vibrant cultural life, we must also care about those who create the art.
At Smart Coop Sweden, we work every day with and for freelancers in the arts and culture. We therefore want to add our voices to the fight for secure employment and social security that everyone deserves through their work. We Run for Culture to create an opportunity for everyone who wants to be visible in the middle of everyday life, pass by the places where decisions are made, and remind ourselves and everyone else of the enormous value of culture.
Thank you to all of you who were there with us. Now we are taking this energy further and continuing to pay attention to and defend culture, every day.
